RPM PR's Guide to Paris

Bonjour! Nous nous sentons un peu chic chez RPM Public Relations. Paris est très belle, non?

Okay, don’t leave us yet - we’re getting in touch with our Parisian side, beret and all. Our team members Cece and Gianna both made the voyage to the City of Light this year, and in case you happen to be hopping on a plane in the near future, we did you a favor and put together a list of places you must go. De rien.

What to Pack:

Paris is a fabulous city, but even the fashionistas are practical. Wear comfortable shoes because you really will want to walk everywhere. Grab Cece’s favorite flats and Gianna’s signature black jeans, and you’ll be ready to take on the city.

Travel Tips:

  • Walk until your feet can no longer carry you. There’s so much to see around every corner and you’ll miss it if you’re in a taxi all day.

  • Be aware of your surroundings. Cece says she always felt incredibly safe, but around the more touristy areas (the Louvre, the opera, etc) there are lots of people around and it’s best to be fully present.. For her, that meant putting the phone/camera down for a few minutes - you’re on vaycay, anyways.

  • A little French goes a long way. Brush up on your Francais before your trip because every taxi driver and bellhop will be extra sweet to you for the effort.

Where to Stay:

Check out hotels in the Opera district, or the uber-chic Left Bank. Hotel Thoumieux, we are coming for you next!

Where to Eat:

Decisions, decisions… Cafe Du Trocadero: The most amazing view of Le Tour de Eiffel

  • Amorino: For a delicious scoop of la glace.

  • Les Deux Magots: Less about what they’re serving, more about who you’re seeing. A fave of Ernest Hemingway.

  • Cafe de Flore: Amazing food and chic people watching. We strongly recommend profiteroles for dessert (or for your last meal).

  • LouLou: The pistachio pesto pasta truly can't be missed.

  • Hemingway Bar at the Ritz Carlton: The best $40 cocktail and worth every penny, even just to walk through the recently remodeled Ritz.

  • Bar at Hotel Le Meurice: This history-rich sweet spot has an incredible lobby, perfect for a nightcap and stroll.
