Fierce Femmes: Nicole Justice of Arch Haus of Brows

When meeting Nicole Justice of Arch Haus of Brows, a few things stand out: her taste in fashion, her #positivevibes, and of course, her killer brows. Fresno born and bred - and recent girlboss turned momboss to sweet son, Atticus - Nicole brought a new brow studio to the Valley, and has since grown her business, her family, and her team.

She’s no rookie to the industry, testing the waters with different careers all centered around beauty. “I had several jobs - some random, and some that made it clear what I was really supposed to do with my life,” Nicole explains. “I’m grateful for each job because they helped me develop different skills that I need as a business owner.”

When opening Arch Haus of Brows, Nicole always had one vision in mind: to make women feel their best. That’s evident when entering the studio - with earthy tones, rich textures, and beautiful floral accents throughout, giving warmth to the space.

“Tons of women come through our doors, some carrying really heavy burdens, or just feeling super insecure,” explains Nicole. “Even though we’re just waxing brows, it’s beyond that. We get to have conversations with women that inspire, encourage, and ultimately, make them feel beautiful. It’s the most rewarding feeling when we hand our clients the mirror. Their faces light up, and they leave with a little extra confidence…I love that.”

While Nicole and team give an extra confidence boost to local ladies, it’s her family that motivates her every day. When taking the leap to open her biz, she explains that faith and her hubby, Caleb, played a huge part. “He simply told me to go for it, and my faith has always been deeply rooted in God,” says Nicole. “It was definitely scary taking that leap - you sometimes fear the unknown. We just have to remember that we’re all born for greatness. You never want to sit back and wonder, ‘What if?’ Just take that leap.”

Not only does her family encourage her to take chances, but they are also her greatest influence. “My mother-in-law, Jen, is the one who inspires me the most,” she shares. “She’s not a business owner, CEO, or anything remotely close to that. Instead, she carries the most important title, ‘Mom.’ Seeing the life she created for her family is something I will always look up to - I’m always learning from her and constantly inspired.”

Nicole too shares the title of “Mom,” and explains that work-life balance is key (#agreed). “I recently went down to part-time which allows me to spend more time with Atticus,” says Nicole. “It’s not always easy leaving him in the morning, and of course mom guilt wants to kick in. I just have to remind myself that it’s okay to be a working mama. I actually think it’s quite admirable.”

Admirable, indeed. Her advice, from one #fiercefemme to another? “Never compare yourself to others. It doesn’t matter what you do or who you are. You are special, worthy, valuable and oh so loved.”
